This coming January (2011), DeviantARTist Angela R. Sasser (aka. AngelaSasser) will be debuting her first book, a full color art instruction book from Impact Books (impactbooks) entitled Angelic Visions: Create Fantasy Art Angels with Watercolor, Ink, and Colored Pencil!

This 125 page tome features over 20 step-by-step demonstrations on how to bring your angelic figures to life with an array of mixed media techniques!  From basic tips on figure drawing to setting your heavenly scenes, to designing tattoos, halos, and more, Angelic Visions will inspire you for your celestial creations.

And it couldn't have come to fruition without the aid of some of the very talented stock artists here on DA!  Here are just a few of the amazing stock images and the artwork that they helped bring to life for Angelic Visions:

If you don't mind I'd like to ask a few questions about how using stock references works in terms of your art book. If you don't want to answer you can just ignore me. ^^;

Do you contact the photographer and work out some sort of contract to publish your art based on their stock in your book? If so do you usually pay a fee or a % of your profit?
