Muses are not consigned to inspiring poets and musicians. The dying oak, endued by the presence of a divine muse, becomes home to the blooming mushroom and the climbing wild rose. Those who sense her presence have left the gift of jewels and stones in hopes that she will return once more to bring life to their sacred arbors.
I'm dedicating this one to *puimun who has been such a great teacher and has never refused an opportunity to share her wealth of knowledge with myself and others. I'm fairly certain her influence can be seen in this particular painting.
