Even within the splendor of Heaven, there are solemn duties that need doing. It is said the scent of Azrael's apple, plucked from the tree of Life, compels the soul from the body.

His book documents the names of all living souls, just as the eyes in his wings represent each living thing. When his final eye closes, it will be the end to all things.

Azrael somehow felt right to upload as we ring in the new year. It is the death of the old and the birth of the new, after all!
