Here's a better scan of my painting of Persephone on 3x3 inch canvas just in time for
JonSchindehette's current "Tiny Pleasures" ArtOrder challenge!

This small format was much fun and I discovered what happens when you put watercolor ground on top of canvas!  The results are a more absorbent surface than canvas, but still slow to absorb as quickly as board or paper.  You have to wait for it to dry or it just smudges your colors around!

A time lapse of this painting will be up on my YouTube page soon, but my my Patreon patrons will see it first because they're special.;)

Watercolor on a canvas primed with watercolor ground.  Accented with white gel pen, white gouache, and liquid gold leaf.

So cool!  I googled watercolor ground, and pretty much all the results were for the Daniel Smith product: is that what you used, or was it something different?
