Another exercise in copic markers and character portraiture that I'm super proud of!

The basic story. Once there was a woman taken by the elder gods to serve death. Instead of destroying the child in her womb, the god of Shadow had pity on the little life inside of her. Or perhaps it was an opportunity to interrupt things in the mortal plane? Melakim was born from a corpse and cared for by passersby who had pity on the baby abandoned by the death of his mother. However, being 'spared' by the elder god left him marked with the essence of the otherworld which manifested itself most noticeably in a 'dead' looking eye and the ability to manipulate shadows into deadly forces. Experiencing death up close left him with the ability to see spirits and sense the moment of death when it approaches.
