A detail of Dance of Chains. There's too much detail in this for me NOT to upload some closeups. (BOOBIE! Sorry..can't help but saying that whenever I look at this piece.)

What have I done? I sentenced you to pain with a word contradicted by the thoughts behind it. You were so brave when I was not...
...you were unbreakable when I had already been broken...

....but now I've seen the aftermath of your fall and I can't help but weep.

Finally, it's done. My art trade for * windfalcon that's turned into one of my favorite pieces I've done in awhile. Learning more about her character, Vitani's, past made me realize just how much a strange unifying dichotomy these two characters had together. She was a rebel who was made a slave, but refused to give in to the ones who were destroying her way of life....he was a soldier who took orders, even though he knew he was denying his true desires, and too much of a coward to break free at the end. Both end up slaves in one form or fashion, Vitani to brutal owners and Zorn to his own unwillingness to face up to his sins.

In the picture, the falcon feather represents Vitani's original glory, her true name Falcon, as the name Vitani was given to her after being forced into slavery. That name means 'flightless'. The red is supposed to be 'wings' of sorts for Zorn as a protective force. It's meant to be a bit of a sensual pose to show the attraction of the two despite their hardships. Those two just seem to go together like earth and sky.

Both charas are Saiyans from the * dragonballdeviants rpg but also copyright in their original fan character incarnations as follows.
