Classy Cabbage Fairy

For lack of a better title! This was a 'quick' exercise I did tonight inspired by the latest video by FZD School of Design encouraging artists to think creatively by taking random shapes in photos and creating a scene or character from them. She's still due for some touching up, but I wanted to share this anyways!

The original photo by ~raincitygirl98 I used for inspiration was chosen at random from the Photography category. I instantly saw ruffles in the layered leaves (but also an underwater scene with kelp). Ruffles and classy cabbage won out!

This was also great digital practice for me. Painted entirely in Photoshop CS2 with the photo base for the skirt and collar.
