Original for Sale :pointr: SOLD!

Friends gather around a warm fire while just beyond the bounds of their safe walls, the cold of winter turns the world to gray. But where the spirit thrives, there will forever be warmth.

May your holidays be filled with joy and happiness.

Here's my holiday gift for you, DA, and for my watchers. I hope to have holiday cards and prints of this available soon. Brightest blessings from me and the countless color pencils that gave their lives for this piece.

And of course, I could not have begun or completed this piece without the lovely stock visage of `lockstock. You are an inspirational beauty, my lady: [link]

Her clothing and her wings are so well detailed. And everything else, too. Did you make any Christmas cards using this pic? You should have! *laughs*

I made post cards on cafepress but haven't added them to my store. I really should do that on cafepress or zazzle for this year:)

You know my thoughts on this... I mean, you saw me spaz like a school-girl when you showed it to me in person. I love it, love it love it love it... I want to buy the print when I have the money again. Not that I know where I'd put it... but I want it anyway. You are so talented it hurts. *grabby hands at the talent*

All the time spent and pencils killed were well worth it, lovey. I LOVE the outcome of this. So soft and serene and truly festive. A lovely touch with the ice crystal around her neck and the skintones are fabolous, not to mention her wings.

You've truly outdone yourself with this one, Ang!

Hehee thanks for the great commentary Jude. After all that toil and effort, I'm so happy to see this one done. I think I've hit that point where I know I'm improving with each piece. I definitely wouldn't have learned as much as I have without you and your fellow cardstock fiends (Jess, Sam, Brenda) helping me along the way!

I love the white outlines of the candles. Actually, i love candles anytime and anywhere! Especially during anything festive! Lovely work.

The whole thing has got such...spirit.

And to think those candles only took about 10 mins compared to everything else that took hours upon hours. Simplicity is sometimes more eyecatching it seems. Thanks:)

hahhaha!! it's interesting indeed, happens to me all the time. that something i worked relatively little on, sometimes even added just as an afterthought, gets a load of compliments compared to the actual focus point.

well, its just that the candles give it its entire atmosphere. and atmosphere is always vital, i guess, esp if u're talking festive...i mean, i feel the warmth and glowi-ness that i love abt the traditional Xmas season. :)

hope u have a nice fat stocking this winter, filled with dragon paraphernalia, M.A.C. makeup (supposedly all the rage now), fantasy novels and loads of chocolate! if i could i'd send u a real live miniature dragon, like the ones in the Triwizard tournament (H Potter, Goblet of Fire).

hahah same goes to you...though I feel slightly out of the loop when I ask 'what's mac makeup?'

I'm actually hoping for a Nikon D50 in my stocking, but I doubt that's happening. Ohhh but it's just sooo beautiful

Dear me, I can't remember the las time i held a good SLR camera.... all i have is a crappy digicam that has a serious focus problem.

Good luck in getting all that you want this Christmas. If possible, write to Santa directly. If all else fails, pray hard to Jesus the birthday boy... ;)

And worth every moment of it, and every poor little pencil sacrificed along the way. These wings are to-die-for. Each tiny detail is astonishing, including the transparancy of her veil, and the golden sheen of her wings. It's very festive. Reminds me of an old vinyl record I had when I was little of the Harry Simeone Chorale. Thanks for putting me in the spirit!
